There are not enough words that can express our thanks and gratitude for all the care, compassion and support you extended to our mother, Ann, and to our family as well.
From the time Ann first entered Silver Pines Care Home until her passing we could not have been happier with her spending the remainder of her life at Silver Pines. We saw her blossom, as much as anyone who is stricken with Alzheimer’s can, in the warm and happy environment that was such a welcome change for her and never did she express the desire to go home, because as far as she was concerned…. She was home!
We were always impressed by the professionalism, attitude, caring and all around warmth of every one of you as you took our Mom through each day, meeting each change as her disease progressed, accepting the changes in her but expressing your, if I may say, love for her, knowing that despite the changes in her life, she was always Ann. And she could be Ann! She never lost her sense of humor and we always said we never knew what to expect; the filters were gone! Any gentleman entering the house….. BEWARE!!!
We always knew the day would come when we would have to say goodbye to our Mom, we just didn’t know how quickly that would come. Through each step towards her final rest, we were blessed to have all of you caring for every need that arose as Ann traveled down that path. You never forgot that we were part of that journey, but due to the pandemic, we could not be there as we wanted, but we never felt she was alone at any time. All of you were there and we are grateful.
The time Mom spent with all of you will always be in our memories. We wanted the best for her. For her to be happy and well cared for. For her to be surrounded by people who were happy to see her and took the time to make sure she was comfortable. For her to have a peaceful journey with love and support as she left this life. She did, and it was because of all of you.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
